The Department of Pediatric Cardiology & Intensive Care Medicine offers you the opportunity to participate in training to become a specialist in pediatric and adolescent medicine, as well as the opportunity to specialize in pediatric cardiology and acquire the additional qualification in intensive care medicine in pediatric and adolescent medicine.

At Hannover Medical School, the Center for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine offers the opportunity to become a specialist in pediatric and adolescent medicine as part of the structured training, the "common-trunk" program. The Clinical Department of Pediatric Cardiology & Intensive Care Medicine is part of this training program.

For colleagues who are advanced in their specialist training and colleagues who have completed their specialist training in pediatric and adolescent medicine, there is the possibility of acquiring the specialty of pediatric cardiology or the additional designation of intensive care medicine in pediatric and adolescent medicine in accordance with the provisions of the training regulations of the Lower Saxony Medical Association.

Pediatric cardiology

Training period 36 months, including 12 months during specialist training. Rotation in all areas of pediatric cardiology. And participation in the EMAH qualification.

Training period 24 months, including 6 months during specialist training. The Clinical Department's wide range of treatments ensures a sound training in intensive care medicine.
