As a university and training location, we ensure that innovative concepts in student teaching prepare the next generation of qualified physicians for tasks in the Clinical Department and research. There is also a differentiated range of training and further education opportunities for physicians after their studies, from the qualification as a pediatrician in cooperation with the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine to additional further training in intensive care medicine in pediatric and adolescent medicine as well as the specialization in pediatric cardiology.

Our research activities are focused on both intensive care medicine and cardiology. The focus is not only on clinical projects, but also on basic scientific issues, which are dealt with at the Pediatric Research Center.
