Working Group Genetic Cancer Predisposition of the GPOH


The Genetic Cancer Predisposition Working Group of the Society for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology (GPOH) is an interdisciplinary committee of experts dedicated to research into childhood cancers. It pursues the following goals:

  • Research into the significance of hereditary changes as a cause of childhood cancers
  • Improving the early detection, treatment and care of children with a hereditary predisposition to cancer
  • Research into the biological basis of hereditary cancer predisposition

Joint discussions are held regularly in order to advance the field through cooperative projects. The expert group of the Society for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology also provides a platform for second opinions in complex cases. Study Network Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Northwest

The study network is an association of 16 hospital locations in northwest Germany. It thus offers sponsors of academic or pharmaceutical studies an attractive infrastructure.
