Urinary bladder carcinoma
With around 570,000 new cases worldwide every year, bladder cancer is the eighth most common cancer. Bladder cancer often remains undetected for a long time. When the first symptoms appear, many men usually think of prostate problems, while many women initially attribute the symptoms to recurring bladder infections. As the chances of survival depend on how advanced the carcinoma is, timely diagnosis and treatment are of great importance
A head start through early detection
Early detection is particularly important for this type of carcinoma, as around 75 percent of initial diagnoses are superficial bladder carcinomas, which can usually be surgically removed. Nevertheless, bladder cancer often remains undetected for a long time - the public's understanding of bladder cancer should therefore be improved and awareness increased, including among clinical specialists.
Photocure, The Bladder Cancer Company, specializes in transformative solutions that can improve the lives of bladder cancer patients. The unique technology that makes cancer cells glow bright pink has helped patients worldwide.
