  • Development of an integrative concept for sustainable nutrition, which contributes to long-term health promotion and a sustainable nutrition culture at the MHH
  • Since 01.01.2025, MHH has been using mineral water in more environmentally friendly returnable PET bottles and will completely dispense with disposable PET bottles in future
  • Netlog - the concept of cooperative and sustainable hospital logistics has been used at MHH for over 20 years. In this way, the transport kilometers for deliveries have been reduced immensely and the CO2 footprint has been significantly improved.
  • 84% reduction in anaesthetic gases: From 2008 to 2023, MHH emissions from anesthetic gases were reduced by 84%
  • Switch to 100% green electricity in 2017, 62% reduction in CO
  • Demand-based control of lecture theatres and laboratories
  • Decommissioning of the two wastewater disinfection plants in I06 and K12 in 2021, through clarification with the city drainage department: no longer necessary since their existence (different approach)

  • Abolition of paper-based telephone bills for company cell phones and landlines (monthly savings of approx. 1000 sheets of paper from 2023)
  • Introduction of digital signatures in purchasing and third-party funding processes (annual saving of approx. 1.25 million sheets of paper from 2023)
  • Reduction in electricity consumption by reducing TC capacities in transfusion medicine (approx. 80,000 kWh per year from 2023)
