Patient representation and advisory board
"Nobody knows better where problems, challenges and potential for improvement lie than those affected themselves and their relatives"
It is particularly important to us to take the interests of cancer patients into account in a special and comprehensive way. In order to continuously improve the care services for those affected and to be able to align clinical research even better with the interests of those affected, the CCC Hannover has integrated patient representation into its own organizational structure and set up a patient advisory board. They have an advisory function with regard to the design of the services and information offered and are intended to identify potential improvements for the CCC Hannover from the patient's perspective.
The Patient Representation is a member of the Executive Board of the CCC Hannover, an advisory member of the Extended Board of the CCC Lower Saxony and a member of the Patient Advisory Board of the CCC Lower Saxony. The Patient Representation is the interface between the Executive Board and the Advisory Board, supports the CCC and represents the interests of patients in
- the development and design of care services in cancer medicine,
- the conception of oncology-oriented educational programs,
- aligning clinical research with the interests of patients,
- the planning and implementation of research projects at the CCC Hannover.
The Patient Advisory Board is the "platform" where needs are identified, named and proposals developed. The Advisory Board supports the CCC in aligning research and treatment even more closely with the needs of patients.
Would you like to join the Patient Advisory Board? Interested parties, including those from outside the Hanover region, are always welcome. You can contact us by e-mail at ccc@mh-hannover.de.
