Tumor documentation and patient care

The tumor documentation staff convert the information on the course of disease and treatment of tumor patients treated at the MHH into structured and classified data and record it together with free-text epicritical summaries in the Onkostar tumor documentation system.

This information is available to authorized physicians at MHH, who can use it to obtain an overview of the patients being treated. Among other things, they can use the summarized information e.g. for diagnostic reports or registrations for interdisciplinary tumor conferences.

In addition, the tumor documentation staff administer the interdisciplinary tumor conferences within the CCC Hannover, i.e. they ensure that all relevant information is recorded and that procedures comply with the rules.
