Many cancer patients ask themselves what they can do themselves to contribute to a positive course of the disease and treatment. Complementary medicine methods can provide valuable support during and after tumor therapy in order to alleviate side effects and late effects of tumor therapy and improve quality of life. These include relaxation techniques, stress management methods and exercise programs.

In the patient event "What can I do myself?", Prof. Dr. Dr. Diana Steinmann, Head of the Klaus Bahlsen Centre for Integrative Oncology at the MHH, will provide information on the topic of complementary medicine as a valuable support to alleviate the side effects of tumor therapy.Mirko Buzdon and Johanna Boyen from the Institute of Sports Medicine at the MHH will report on the opportunities and possibilities of sports therapy for cancer patients.

The information series is aimed at patients, relatives and all interested parties.

We look forward to seeing you!
