Last aid course for adults
Knowing how it works in the end
The end of life and dying of our relatives, friends and neighbors often makes us feel helpless. In the four-hour course on "Last Aid", interested citizens learn what they can do for their loved ones at the end of life.
- Dates:Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Wednesday, September 10, 2025 and Tuesday, November 25, 2025
- each from 16:00 to 20:00
- On site. Meeting point: Klaus-Bahlsen-Zentrum in building K7 - level S0 - staircase / gray column
- Participation is free of charge. The number of participants is limited to 15 people.
Basic knowledge, orientation and simple hand movements will be taught. End-of-life care is not a science, but is also possible in the family and neighborhood. Course leader Dr. Agnes Krause (MHH) and course leader Dirk Aumann (Praecaveo gGmbH) want to provide basic knowledge and encourage people to turn to the dying. After all, caring is what we all need most at the end of life.
The course is divided into four sections
- Dying is part of life
- Making provisions and decisions
- Alleviating suffering
- Saying goodbye
