Integrative oncology
The Klaus Bahlsen Center for Integrative Oncology strengthens the holistic treatment of cancer patients at the MHH Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) with its services and activities.
Many cancer patients ask themselves what they can do themselves to contribute to a positive course of the disease and treatment. Complementary medicine methods can provide valuable support during and after tumor therapy to alleviate side effects and late effects of tumor therapy and improve quality of life. These include naturopathic consultations, offers to strengthen self-healing powers, relaxation methods and complementary nursing applications. The Klaus Bahlsen Center supplements oncological complementary medicine with psycho-oncological support services, nutritional advice, palliative medical services as well as sports and rehabilitative medical approaches.
Our complementary medicine services are aimed at people who are looking for new ways to optimize the course of their illness and alleviate side effects or late effects of conventional therapy with the help of self-help strategies they have learned. The offer is expressly not a substitute for conventional therapy or psycho-oncological care, but rather a supportive accompaniment.
