Palliative medical advice
The palliative medical consultation at the Klaus Bahlsen Center for Integrative Oncology is aimed at patients with a chronic, incurable disease and their relatives. A palliative medical consultation can be useful at any time during the course of the disease to control symptoms and plan further care, even in parallel with tumor and disease-specific therapy (such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy).
Patients and their relatives are often inadequately informed about the possibilities of inpatient and outpatient palliative care services and social law aspects. The aim of palliative medical advice at the KBZ is to provide those affected with early and individual advice in a personal medical consultation and to provide them with appropriate information material/handouts, taking into account their specific needs.
