Fertility protection and fertility preservation

Thanks to improved oncological treatment concepts, the survival and recovery rates of cancer patients have improved significantly. As a result, life planning and quality of life after cancer are becoming increasingly important. For young patients in particular, fulfilling the desire to have children contributes significantly to their later quality of life.

However, certain operations and cytotoxic therapies, in particular chemotherapy and radiotherapy, can impair the function of the ovaries and testicles and make it difficult or even impossible to conceive a child.

Various options for preserving fertility and preserving eggs and sperm are available to minimize this risk. Arrange a consultation with us. This is also possible at short notice before an operation or the start of treatment.

Our team at the Oncology Center will also be happy to answer any further questions you may have.
