In spring 2023, the Oncology Center conducted a satisfaction survey of referring physicians. 180 physicians took part in the postal survey (response rate 15.5%). We would like to take this opportunity to thank all participants!

On a scale of 1-6, the satisfaction of those who took part in the survey with the quality of patient treatment at the CCC Hannover was 1.89 on average, while satisfaction with the range of services was 1.79 on average.

Almost 80% of respondents stated that they received all the information they needed from our center (see graph).

The medical care in our Clinical Departments, the studies offered and the information content of the physicians' letters as well as the conference recommendations, which are highly relevant for the treatment of patients, were also perceived positively. The average score here was 1.9 and better.

There is a particular need for improvement in the timing of the delivery of physicians' letters and website information (mean score 2.7).

What measures are being taken?

The results help us to see how we have developed compared to previous years and which services and offers we can improve. As part of an internal quality circle with representatives from the organ cancer centers and departments, the detailed results were evaluated and ways to improve (including the availability of physicians' letters) were discussed.

First steps: Homepage updates will take place shortly, further training from the organ cancer centers will be bundled and made more available and interested physicians will receive regular news from our center in the future.
