The Department of Orthoptics and Neuroophthalmology has been continuously expanded and developed since 2015. Due to the frequently interdisciplinary nature of the diseases, we attach particular importance to interdisciplinary cooperation and a scientific basis for our treatment. Our patient population ranges from infants to senior citizens, and we adapt our treatments and therapy options accordingly. We benefit from the modernization of the entire ophthalmology department at the MHH, which gives us access to state-of-the-art diagnostics.

We would be delighted if we could gain your trust and establish a good working relationship.

Procedure of an orthoptic examination:

  • First, an examination is carried out by an orthoptist. We then arrange further diagnostics after consultation with our medical team. This is followed by an eye morphology examination and a discussion of the findings.
  • Depending on the findings, you will also be seen by a senior consultant for further evaluation of the findings and, if necessary, treatment planning.
  • Please allow 3-5 hours for an examination in our Department.

Please bring the following with you to your appointment with us:

  • Referral slip + insurance card
  • spectacles
  • Previous findings and physician's letters if available
  • List of your current medication
