General psychiatry
Stations 50b, 53a and 53b
In the general psychiatric field, people with all psychiatric illnesses are treated and supported individually and holistically. Together with the patient, we endeavor to find an individual way out of the existing crisis and to accompany this.
In addition to the treatment of acute psychiatric crisis situations, an essential part of our work in the inpatient area is the correct diagnosis of mental illnesses, therapy (initiation) and the referral of patients to specialized treatment services (e.g. in the area of affective disorders). A highly qualified and committed team of physicians, psychologists, social workers, specialist nurses, occupational therapists and physiotherapists is available for treatment. The therapy offered is based on evidence-based psychotherapeutic, drug and non-drug treatment strategies and utilizes all modern scientific findings on mental illness.
Adult patients with all psychiatric disorders are treated on the three wards. Ward 50b is a protected ward, while wards 53a and 53b are open wards. All wards offer group therapy sessions, which are supplemented by cross-ward group sessions that patients can continue to attend even after they have been discharged.
Patients can access these wards via the emergency department. Patients who come for a change of medication, require special diagnostic procedures or wish to undergo electroconvulsive therapy can register via the occupancy management team.
If patients are interested in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), they can register for a preliminary consultation in our psychiatric outpatient clinic using the registration form. In the case of direct transfers from other Clinical Departments for ECT, contact is made via the admissions management.
