Organization of (acutely necessary) Nursing care for relatives
Both employees covered by collective agreements and civil servants are entitled to up to 10 days off work per year if they have to take on or organize the acute care of a relative or family member. During this time, they can apply for care support allowance from the relevant care insurance fund.

Application for special leave for civil servants
For the accompaniment of a close relative in the last phase of life, there is the possibility of up to 3 months of full or partial leave of absence under the Caregiver Leave Act. This support does not have to take place in the home environment.

Emergency care in the event of absence / to relieve the caregiver
The MHH is a partner organization of FluxxIn emergencies, Fluxx spontaneously takes over the care of relatives in need of care, advises on care bottlenecks, accompanies out of the home and provides transportation services.
Fluxx is a service provided by the city and region of Hanover and can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the Fluxxphone 0511 168 32110. For MHH employees, one hour of care costs 3 euros. Students are eligible for an hourly rate of 2 euros via the Studentenwerk Hannover as a partner company of Fluxx.
