Commitment with tradition
The Gesellschaft der Freunde der MHH e. V. was founded in 1964 - and is therefore older than Hannover Medical School itself. Much has changed over the past decades, but the aim of the association today, as then, is to work together with its members to promote the interests of Hannover Medical School. Around 500 individuals are currently involved in research, teaching and patient care at one of Germany's most important medical Facilities or Institutions.
The Gesellschaft der Freunde der MHH e. V. is committed to research, teaching, patient care and campus life at the MHH, with a particular focus on promoting young talent and innovation.
It sees itself as a link between Hannover Medical School and Hannover's civil society with its potential supporters. We want to inspire interested citizens and personalities from business, science and culture for our university and create targeted opportunities for networking.
The board members act as active ambassadors for the university and organize their activities in coordination with the Presidium of MHH.
The activities of the MHH Society of Friends are financed by membership fees and donations and are additionally secured by the income from asset management.
We provide open, comprehensive and comprehensible information about how we work and how we use the funds entrusted to us.
