Competencies
After successfully completing the module, students will be able to

  • master the theoretical basics of 1D and 2D NMR spectra.
  • select and apply the appropriate method for structure elucidation.
  • evaluate NMR spectra and elucidate the structure of organic compounds.
  • create cell cultures themselves and carry out vitality tests to investigate the number of vital cells as a function of membrane permeability and thus the uptake of certain compounds for detection, e.g. dyes, and to differentiate these.
  • use flow cytometry to deduce the properties of the cells due to effects occurring during the measurement.
  • understand different measurement methods theoretically and apply them in a problem-oriented manner.
  • select the appropriate method for solving problems against the theoretical background of the different analytical methods.
  • carry out literature research in order to develop new content and discuss it scientifically.
