Natural Product and Bioanalytics (BCM WP 27)
Competencies
After successfully completing the module, students will be able to
- master the theoretical basics of 1D and 2D NMR spectra.
- select and apply the appropriate method for structure elucidation.
- evaluate NMR spectra and elucidate the structure of organic compounds.
- create cell cultures themselves and carry out vitality tests to investigate the number of vital cells as a function of membrane permeability and thus the uptake of certain compounds for detection, e.g. dyes, and to differentiate these.
- use flow cytometry to deduce the properties of the cells due to effects occurring during the measurement.
- understand different measurement methods theoretically and apply them in a problem-oriented manner.
- select the appropriate method for solving problems against the theoretical background of the different analytical methods.
- carry out literature research in order to develop new content and discuss it scientifically.
