Forensic Child Protection Outpatient Clinic Contact information
In the Forensic Child Protection Outpatient Clinic at the permanent locations in Hanover and Oldenburg, as well as close to home if necessary, forensic medical examinations of children are offered in cases of suspected physical and/or sexual child abuse with evidence-preserving documentation that can be used in court, assessment and interpretation of injuries and, if necessary, securing evidence. This requires registration by telephone and an informal written request (including questions) from the attending physician. The examination is carried out in a calm, child-friendly atmosphere by qualified physicians and, if necessary, with the support and guidance of a social worker B.A. & child protection specialist with experience in this area. The results of the examination and any recommendations for further measures are communicated to the physician in a brief report.
