The results presented originate from an interdisciplinary cooperation between the Clinical Biochemistry, Urology and Nephropathology departments (all MHH) and other cooperation partners.

The MHHplus Foundation supports our project: "Digital Pathology for Precision in Renal Diagnostics using Artificial Intelligence (DPP-AI)". The aim is to establish AI-supported digital workflows for the standardized, quantitative analysis of kidney biopsies - an important step towards more objective diagnostics and personalized transplant monitoring.

Congratulations to Jana Tauschke! Jana Tauschke received the "Best Master's Thesis" award of the Biomedical Data Science study programmes from the Junior-GBM, Gesellschaft für Biochemie und Molekularbiologie e. V. (Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology). In her Master's thesis, she analyzed gene expression data from biopsies of transplanted kidneys.

Our joint ERDF application "QUADRANT - Quantitative evaluation of tissue samples using three-dimensional X-ray analysis technology" with Histomography GmbH, Lung Pathology, Institute of Neuroanatomy and Cell Biology, LEBAO and Radiation Protection of the MHH with the Institute of X-ray Physics of the University of Göttingen was successful and we will receive funding for 2 years. We are looking forward to this exciting interdisciplinary project!

The "Report of the Working Group on Cardiovascular, Renal and Transplantation Pathology" has been published: The 107th Annual Meeting of the German Society of Pathology took place in Munich-Garching from May 23-25, 2024. Lectures and poster presentations by the Cardiovascular, Renal and Transplant Pathology Working Group were held as face-to-face events. At the general meeting held at the end of the event, Prof. Jan Hinrich Bräsen and Prof. Jeremias Wohlschläger were elected for two years in accordance with the statutes of the German Society of Pathology's Working Group on Cardiovascular, Renal and Transplantation Pathology and thus remain Chairman and Deputy Chairman for a further calendar year.
