The Center for Rare Inflammatory Systemic Diseases deals with kidney manifestations that can have a variety of causes. They typically represent a disease manifestation in the context of inflammatory systemic diseases.
In order to ensure early detection and treatment of affected patients, an outpatient clinic for "rare inflammatory systemic diseases with kidney involvement" has been set up. This part of the Centre for Rare Diseases is intended to offer a tertiary care structure that allows prompt diagnosis and diagnosis and enables patients to be treated quickly.
Competencies of the individual center
Important rare systemic diseases with renal manifestations that are treated in the special outpatient clinic:
- AA amyloidosis with renal manifestations, Churg-Strauss syndrome, dermatomyositis, granulomatous microscopic polyangiitis, microscopic polyangiitis, Behcet's disease, Fabry's disease,Gaucher's disease, Kawasaki's disease, Whipple's disease, multimodal therapies with combined plasmapheresis/apheresis and intravenous immunoglobulin administration for acute antibody-mediated autoimmune diseases (e.g. Stiff-Person syndrome). e.g. Stiff-Person syndrome, cardiolipin-Ak syndrome), panarteritis nodosa, polychondritis, polymyositis, giant cell arteritis with pauci-immune glomerulonephritis, sarcoidosis with renal manifestations, Shulman syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus with haemolytic uraemic syndrome, Schönlein Henoch purpura
Further competencies of the individual center
- Diagnosis, therapy planning, therapy management for patients already diagnosed, patient education, second opinions, advising colleagues, basic research, running a clinical register, conducting therapy studies, training and further education of colleagues
