Compliance

"Compliance" means acting in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The term was coined worldwide in the course of corruption prevention, but is by no means limited to pure anti-corruption measures, but rather encompasses compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and the associated internal guidelines and procedures. Compliance is enshrined in law in the general allocation of responsibilities and tasks (Section 91 (2) AktG) and indirectly in liability standards (Section 130 OWiG).

As a management task, compliance is the overall responsibility of the Presidium. The Presidium is obliged to adhere to all rules on compliance with legal requirements, laws and guidelines itself and to implement and enforce them within the institution, in its department and in its dealings with employees and business and cooperation partners.

As an internal organizational measure to ensure legally compliant conduct, compliance is primarily a preventative measure. It is intended to create trust in MHH's activities, avert potential harm to MHH, its employees and patients and protect MHH's reputation.
