The green MHH- MORE WAY!
Deposit-free reusable system for TO-GO food in the MHH central kitchen
Why a reusable system?
Every year, around 22,500 disposable plates with lids and 73,000 smaller containers for salads and desserts are served in the Canteen and staff cafeterias at Hannover Medical School. The central kitchen at MHH wants to make an active contribution to avoiding waste and largely avoid serving disposable packaging. For this reason, the MHH central kitchen is introducing a deposit-free reusable system from an external partner (Relevo). The customer is provided with a free app to track and organize the rental.
FAQ - on the reusable system
No, it doesn't have to be. However, coarse soiling should be washed out first.
Yes, as much as you like. The important thing is that each tray/beaker is scanned.
Yes, provided the person has the Relevo app. Then the person can scan the respective bowls/cups beforehand and then has them in their app after a successful scan. The dishes can then be returned without any problems.
Yes, at 600 watts for a maximum of 2 minutes. The lids are not suitable for the microwave.
No, please don't. The bowls are made of SAN plastic and are not ovenproof.
Yes, the bowls/cups/lids can be cleaned in the dishwasher, but only the industrial machine guarantees professional, disinfecting cleaning.
Yes, they are.
If the dishes are damaged, you can return them to the Canteen to our contact person Christoph Bodenstein
(Phone: +49 511 532-9487). The crockery will be sent in and replaced by the supplier Relevo.
The cups and bowls are made of SAN plastic. The great advantage of SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer) is its scratch resistance and reusability of up to 1000 wash cycles
The lids are made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomers). TPE is much easier to process than normal elastomers and therefore fits very well when closed - which ultimately means that the bowls/cups are completely leak-proof.
The products are produced by the company Ornamin in Minden. Ornamin pays attention to sustainable production and recycles 100% of Relevo products at the end of their service life.
One option is to buy reusable dishes in the Canteen and cafeterias. These bowls do not have a QR code. The cup (200 ml) costs €4.20, the small bowl (600 ml) €8.90 and the large bowl (1100 ml) €9.70. Another option would be to fill your own transport containers. Please note that, for reasons of hygiene, your own containers may not be filled by the sales staff. These must be filled by the guest themselves after purchase. The purchased reusable crockery is counted as your own transport container.
- The first and most important step of all:
The free Relevo app must be downloaded to the smartphone from Google Play or the App Store and a one-off registration as a user is required. Only the personal data (name, address, private email address, payment method: PayPal, SEPA direct debit or credit card) that is required to use the reusable system is collected.
- Borrowing:
A QR code is displayed on each bowl/mug.
As soon as the meal TO-GO is accepted in the free Relevo crockery, this QR code must be scanned using the Relevo app. The scan confirmation is shown to the employees at the checkout. The QR code is scanned exclusively by the customer.
- Return:
Relevo crockery can be returned within 14 days at the return points of the OP cafeteria, ZMK cafeteria, staff cafeteria and the crockery return point of the Canteen during opening hours. A return QR code will be available at the return points. The scan of the return QR code is carried out exclusively by the customer.
To participate in the reusable system, it is necessary to download and register the Relevo app: atGoogle Playor in theApp Store. A few personal details must be provided in the app, which are mandatory for using the reusable system: First and last name, private e-mail address and postal address. It is also necessary to specify a payment method. You can enter a PayPal account, SEPA direct debit or a credit card.
The Medical School itself does not collect any personal data. Nor do we have access to the data processed by the reservation process in the app. The processing of personal data is therefore the responsibility of Relevo. Further information on the protection of your personal data at Relevo can be found in Relevo's privacy policy:https://www.gorelevo.de/datenschutz/
The reusable tableware can be borrowed free of charge for 14 days. If required, 5 days longer. If the crockery is not returned on time, a fee will be charged (€10 per bowl, €5 per cup). This is used to purchase the reusable crockery and does not have to be returned. For this reason, payment information is required. However, this is only for security purposes. You will be reminded to return them on time.
