Wards
The Clinical Department of Neurology has 92 inpatient beds. The private ward (10 beds) and the neurological general wards (56 beds) treat all neurological conditions. The interdisciplinary oncology ward has 6 beds for primary neurological patients. The certified supra-regional stroke unit (12 beds) is available for the treatment of strokes. Patients requiring special medical and nursing care are treated on the intermediate care (IMC) ward (3 beds). From 2020, 5 beds in the interdisciplinary intensive care unit will be managed by the Clinical Department of Neurology for special neurological clinical pictures in cooperation with the Clinical Department of Anaesthesiology.
