Information on the ward
Dear patients, relatives and interested parties,
Welcome to our homepage. Here you can gain a brief insight into our elective ward 28.
Our ward has a total of 23 beds, which are divided into single and double rooms .
Our qualified nursing staff will look after you around the clock, 365 days a year. The well-being and recovery of our patients is our top priority. For this reason, our qualified nursing staff regularly take part in further and advanced training courses in order to strengthen and develop their professional expertise. Thanks to the extensive range of specialist departments, our nursing staff have acquired a great deal of experience with the various clinical pictures and nursing challenges.
All patients with kidney failure and chronic inflammatory diseases can also receive individual care and advice from specially trained nurses with a degree(Advanced Practice Nurse, APN).
A medical assistant is responsible for organizing our inpatient procedures.
In the early and late shift, our service staff support the nursing staff in providing our patients with food and drinks. The service staff are also responsible for all questions relating to telephoning and the use of the television, for example.
Trainees in Nursing and other healthcare professions complete their practical training in our ward, among other places. They are supervised by nursing staff who, among other things, have the additional qualification of practical instructors. We work together in an interdisciplinary team with other professional groups (e.g. physiotherapy, social services, discharge management, etc.) to ensure our patients receive individual and holistic care.
Even with three different specialist departments with different priorities and specialties, we are a unit and work together with all professional groups on an equal footing.
Thanks to the three different specialist departments in our ward, we provide pre- and post-operative care for various surgical, endoscopic and diagnostic procedures.
Our qualified nursing staff care for the patients entrusted to us around the clock in a three-shift system and professionally support the course of the illness by strengthening resources and skills. This includes preparation, monitoring and treatment after various interventions and therapies, as well as holistic patient observation and Nursing, mobilization and advice for patients, taking into account individual resources and psychosocial aspects.
Among other things, we also care for patients who are being treated by Prof. Dr. Annette Wagner via the Center for Rare Inflammatory Systemic Diseases with Kidney Involvement outpatient clinic and require an inpatient stay.
To be admitted to ward 28, you need an admission appointment, which you can obtain from the outpatient clinics. On the day of admission , please first go to the central patient admission department and ask to be admitted to ward 28.
