In the interdisciplinary transplant outpatient clinic, patients are examined and treated before and after organ transplantation by a team of specialists and assistant physicians from the fields of general, visceral and transplant surgery, gastroenterology and nephrology. Outpatient care for adults with congenital heart defects has been provided by the Clinical Department of Cardiology and Angiology for many years. Together with colleagues from the Clinical Department of Paediatric Cardiology and Intensive Care Medicine, adolescents are cared for in the transition consultation hours.

Advice is also given on school and vocational training, sports activities, disabilities, obtaining a driving license and fitness to fly.
