Predecessor project
From 2002 to 2015, a predecessor project investigated coping with illness and social stress during the course of breast cancer. Around 250 breast cancer patients were interviewed several times over a period of ten years. The study was conducted as a cooperation between the Medical Sociology and Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy Departments of the MHH and the gynecological Clinical Departments of the Henriettenstiftung and Nordstadtkrankenhaus. Further information on the process, methodological approach and results can be found here.
