Welcome to the MHH Career MHH training courses School for Speech Therapy Application

Please also submit the following documents in a transparent or leaflet envelope. Please do not use an application folder!

  • Personal cover letter including motivation statement
  • Completed application form (if your final grades are not yet available, please enter the grades from your last certificate)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Photograph with name
  • Notarized school leaving certificates or a copy of the last certificate
  • ENT physician's certificate confirming normal laryngeal findings and normal hearing. Please have your normal hearing ability certified by an audiogram. We recommend that you enquire in advance whether this will incur any costs
  • Proof of completed or planned social internships
  • Proof of instrumental, singing lessons or choir experience
  • Addressed and stamped return envelope (large enough to fit the submitted documents)

We would like to point out that incomplete application documents may not be considered!

Legal admission requirements:
A completed secondary school certificate, another equivalent qualification or a secondary general school certificate with a completed vocational training course of at least two years' duration.
An entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or an Abitur is desirable.


Further requirements for the apprenticeships are

  • normal hearing and eyesight
  • good musical knowledge (e.g. singing in a choir or playing an instrument)
  • good spoken and written command of the German language, a fluent and unobtrusive manner of speaking, ability to articulate in a dialect-neutral manner
  • a healthy and resilient voice
  • predominantly good to satisfactory grades in the following subjects: German, biology, music, a foreign language
  • If German is not your mother tongue: German language skills at least at C2 level

We also recommend that you have completed at least 3 months of socio-educational, nursing or clinical internship.
Before the start of training, a medical certificate confirming sufficient protection against hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox must be submitted.
