In accordance with the TVA-L, teaching materials are free of charge for training at the Logpädieschule. At the end of the training, there are one-off costs for the examination registration and for the application for the professional license in the amount of approx. 150,- €.
As an employed speech therapist in the public sector, remuneration is based on TV-Länder, pay group 6-10. Independent practices are not bound by the collective agreements of the public sector.
You will use the professional title "Staatlich geprüfter Logopäde" or "Staatl. geprüfte Logopopädin" if you have successfully passed the legally required final examination before the state education authority at the end of your training.
After completing your training, you can take up a postgraduate course, e.g. at the HAWK Hildesheim, which cooperates with us. There are also study programmes in other European countries. The job market situation for speech therapists looks very good at the moment. Previous graduates of our school have generally found a job immediately after completing their training.
Part of the practical training takes place outside the school of speech therapy in speech therapy practices or in institutions where speech therapists are employed.
You organize the "external internships" yourself in fixed periods. The internships can take place anywhere in Germany and possibly also abroad. The focus of the internships is predetermined and should be fulfilled as best as possible. Otherwise, you are free to choose your own internship location
In total, the training comprises 2,100 hours of practical training and 1,740 hours of theoretical and practical instruction. The training is closely aligned with the LogAPrO (1980), the guidelines and specifications of the German Federal Association for Speech Therapy (dbl, 2010) and the competence profile for speech therapy (dbl, 2014).
A large part of the theory is taught by teaching speech therapists employed at the school, two psychologists and phoniatrics staff. External lecturers such as university physicians, lawyers, teachers and others are available for some of the theoretical subjects.
Unfortunately, this is not possible. Even if you have previously trained in another profession, you must complete the regular 3-year training course.

In addition to the MHH privacy policy, we would like to explain how we handle your data at the School for Speech Therapy:
All data requested in the online form of the School for Speech Therapy are necessary for the processing of your request (Art. 6 DS-GVO). Your contact details will be stored together with your message in MHH's own IT system. Your data transmitted to the School for Speech Therapy will only be used to process your request. Only data necessary for processing will be passed on internally within MHH to the responsible employees (Art. 5 GDPR). Your contact details will not be used for advertising purposes or passed on to third parties outside MHH.
You can request the personal data stored by us at any time (Art. 15 GDPR), correct your stored data (Art. 16 GDPR), revoke your consent to the storage of your data and request deletion (Art. 17 GDPR). Furthermore, you have the legal right to restrict the processing of your personal data (Art. 18 GDPR), to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and a general right to object (Art. 21 GDPR).
