Our tasks

• Coordination of safety requirements for laboratories at the MHH

• Carrying out the notification, registration and approval procedures for gene laboratories

• Advising project managers on the evaluation of genetically modified organisms and other biological substances

• Archiving the records of genetic engineering work

• Advice on the transportation of biological material and shipment of infectious substances

• Requirement profiles for safety-relevant laboratory equipment such as workbenches and autoclaves

• Implementation of state-recognized "Genetic engineering safety" training courses as a basis for project manager status
• Guidelines for the preparation of genetic engineering applications
