Central Emergency Room
Over 70,000 patients are treated in the Central Emergency Room at Hannover Medical School every year. 12,000 of these are trauma patients. We treat patients with minor injuries with the same expertise and dedication as seriously injured patients. Whether it's an accident at home or on the road, a sports accident or an accident at work, we are always ready to help you. Our treatment covers the entire spectrum of trauma surgery, from pediatric to geriatric traumatology. The close interlinking between the rescue services and the emergency department enables a smooth transfer of care. In many cases, the connected bases of the emergency ambulance 5 (NEF 5) and the rescue helicopter Christoph 4 allow seriously injured patients to be treated from a single source. As a maximum-care Clinical Department and certified supra-regional trauma center with admission to the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV)'s procedure for severely injured patients, we treat over 150 severely injured patients per year. Close cooperation with other experts guarantees optimal interdisciplinary treatment. At Hannover Medical School, state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures and an experienced team are available 24/7 to guarantee you the best possible care.
We work for your health.
