Focus on patient & family centering
In our thematic focus area, we deal with research questions relating to the care of patients and their relatives in the last phase of life. Here, for example, we focus on the views, needs and wishes of patients and their relatives and on improving their well-being and quality of life. The focus is equally on incurable oncological and non-oncological diseases.
We work with healthcare research methods and see ourselves as a multi-professional team that integrates individual patient and family care and the social context into the research. Several of our projects result in recommendations for (psychosocial) support measures.
