For patients with various forms of pulmonary hypertension, the most modern medical treatment options are available and therapies are constantly being further developed. We offer all available medical therapies for pulmonary hypertension and have access to the latest developments through regular participation in clinical studies.
For patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), the MHH offers the full range of treatment options including surgical therapy (pulmonary endarterectomy), interventional procedures (pulmonary balloon angioplasty) and drug therapy.
Competencies of the B-Center
Focus on pulmonary hypertension
- Pulmonary hypertension ("pulmonary hypertension"), entire spectrum
- Diagnosis and treatment of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension including surgical (pulmonary endarterectomy) and interventional (pulmonary balloon angioplasty) procedures
- Intravenous prostacyclin therapy for severe forms of pulmonary arterial hypertension
- Close cooperation with the MHH lung transplant program
- Continuous participation in therapy studies to further develop treatment options
Focus on intensive care medicine
- Extensive experience in the intensive medical care of patients with right heart failure, including the use of heart-lung support systems
