Examinations
The Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for conducting and scheduling (e-)examinations. The examinations are prepared and followed up here in close cooperation with the teaching staff, the year supervisors supervise the examinations and publish, manage and inform the students about the examination results. The examination results are documented in the FACT computer system.
Examination regulations

An illness must be documented by a medical certificate within three working days of the examination date (Section 12 (4) of the Examination Regulations). The submission of a medical certificate in case of illness on the day of the examination is only possible via the web form:

How do you deregister?
Registration for the first examination in the modules of the integrated study section takes place when you are assigned to a module by the Office of Academic Affairs. Students who are exempt from attending the courses of the module, but not from the examination, are invited separately.
It is possible to deregister from a module examination in academic years three to five up to 10 working days before the examination date without giving reasons. It is not possible to re-register for the examination.

You cannot withdraw from an exam registration via the FACT web service !
Registration for the make-up exam
Register for the make-up exam in the next quintile via your ►FACT web service.
Registration for the written catch-up examination
Please use your FACT web service to register for written make-up examinations and repeat examinations.
Registration is only possible for the next possible examination date. You can view your successful exam registration immediately in the FACT web service under "Previous exam registrations". After the registration deadline, your registered make-up or repeat examinations will also be displayed in your FACT timetable. If this is not the case, please contact your year supervisor immediately.
You must register at least ten working days before the exam. The examination dates can be found at the top of this page.
If you do not take the next possible exam retakes, this may lead to an extension of your studies.
Registration for oral make-up examinations
Please use your ►FACT web service to register for oral make-up examinations and repeat examinations.
A student has the right to inspect the examination documents (individual written exam or examination record of oral exams).
Students should contact the teaching/examination coordinator to arrange an appointment to view the examination documents/written exam.
The following may be inspected
- the minutes of the oral or oral-practical examination
- the written exam in print version including the grading scales
If the student does not agree with the information provided, he/she must submit an objection in writing to the Office of Academic Affairs. The objection / appeal must be submitted within one month of viewing the examination results.
