NDR-Visite, 30.01.2024

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. NDR-Visite sheds light on the topic of early detection and visited Hannover Medical School, among others. Our Clinical Department is one of four study centers conducting the PROBASE study. This is also about the early detection of prostate cancer.

Dr. Mathias Wolters (Head of BPH Therapy) awarded as Rezum™ Expert User

Certificate "Rezum™ Expert User"

The Rezum™ Expert User designation, awarded by Boston Scientific, recognizes experience with Rezum™ Water Vapor Therapy and commitment to providing significant and lasting symptom relief for men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Rezum™ therapy has been performed at the Clinical Department of Urology and Urological Oncology since 2017. To be able to use the Rezum™ Expert User designation, a number of requirements must be met, such as a sufficiently high number of Rezum™ operations per year and continuous monitoring of the quality of treatment outcomes.

In addition to Rezum™ therapy, the Clinical Department of Urology and Urological Oncology also offers all other therapies for patients with prostate problems, such as aquablation™, laser enucleation and TURP. This makes the MHH one of the few Clinical Departments in Germany to offer the entire spectrum of modern BPH therapy.

Further information on Rezum™ therapy and all other surgical procedures can be found here: Further procedures
