The oncology outpatient clinic provides interdisciplinary and multi-professional diagnosis, treatment and care for patients with solid tumors. Patient care within the interdisciplinary network of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Niedersachsen (CCC-N) and the organ tumor centers as well as discussions in the interdisciplinary tumor conferences are an essential part of our work.
In general, we provide care, diagnostic planning, therapy planning, therapy implementation, supportive therapy, complication management and other advice.
As an oncology outpatient clinic, we are responsible for the following diseases / indications:
- Renal cell carcinoma
- Prostate carcinoma
- Urinary bladder carcinoma
- Testicular carcinoma
- Penile carcinoma
- Head and neck tumors(alternative)
- Salivary gland carcinoma
- Thyroid carcinoma
- Soft tissue sarcoma, bone and joint sarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma
- Desmoid (aggressive fibromatosis)
- Thymus carcinoma/thymoma
- Anal carcinoma
- Neuroendocrine tumor/carcinoma
- Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST)
- Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP)
- Langerhans cell histiocytosis
- Other rare tumors
Our therapies include immunotherapies, oral tumor therapy, hormone therapy, molecular therapy and precision oncology, high-dose therapies and clinical therapy studies, as well as special care for metastasis therapies (chemosaturation, radiofrequency ablation, isolated limb perfusion, microwave ablation, metastasis surgery, electrochemotherapy, cryoablation).
