The admission of a child takes place after prior online registration. The decision on the allocation of places is communicated by the management, following the vote of the daycare committee, at the earliest nine months before admission. In principle, only full-day places are allocated.
Children are admitted to the crèche from the age of eight weeks, to the kindergarten from around three years of age and to the after-school care center for school children up to the age of 12.
Places are allocated according to a priority system. You can read about this in the Kita regulations or below under Allocation criteria.
You can upload the following documents/forms under 1 - 4 in the online registration portal. If you wish to submit additional documents, this must be done within 14 days of submitting your application, otherwise we will assume that you will not be able to provide the evidence. Please send any additional forms by e-mail to campuskinder@mh-hannover.de.

- Children of MHH employees working at least 19.25 hours
- Children of single parents with proof of tax class 2.
- WINK children (according to the WINK priority list) 12 places.
- Children of staff working shifts. One parent must work in shifts within the meaning of TV-L § 7 Para. 2: "Shift work is work according to a shift schedule that provides for a regular change in the start of the daily working time by at least two hours in periods of at least one month and which is performed within a period of at least 13 hours."
- A sibling already attends the Campuskinder daycare center.
- None of the points mentioned
- Children of students
- Families that do not fall under point 1/2. (The same weighting applies here as under 1 1-5).
For the Kindergarten and after-school care:
- Children of MHH employees working at least 19.25 hours
- Children of single parents in shift work within the meaning of TV-L § 7 para. 2 of a tax class 2 certificate.
- Continued care for crèche or kindergarten children already enrolled at the Campus Children.
- Children of single parents without shift work with proof of tax class 2.
- Children of staff members if at least one parent/guardian is on shift work at MHH within the meaning of TV-L § 7 para. 2.
- One sibling already attends the Campuskinder daycare center.
- For after-school care: Admission after the most recent school enrollment date.
- None of the above points
- Children of students
- Families that do not fall under point 1/2 (the same weighting applies here as under 1 1-7).
If one or more of the criteria listed under 3.1 are met, the following considerations are taken into account:
- When allocating places, the existing gender composition, a balanced ratio between girls and boys and the age structure of the group, must be taken into account.
- If the requirements are the same, the child of severely disabled employees is given priority.
- If the conditions are the same, the weekly working hours and the working hours (shift work/night shifts etc.) of the parent not working at the MHH will be taken into account.
- A maximum of 3 children under the age of 9 months can be in the Facilities or Institutions at the same time. Exceptions to this can be approved by the daycare center management.
- Special cases of hardship can be considered separately by the daycare committee.
- The daycare committee can also allocate places in order to counteract the shortage of specialists in individual areas.
- Both parents are shift workers.
- On-call duty and standby duty.
For further information, please refer to the daycare center regulations.
If you have any questions about admission/acceptance, please contact Ms. Schulze on 0511 - 532 - 83326.
There is a quota of 12 places in the crèche for exclusively female scientists who work at least 75% of the regular weekly working hours and work at the university, with an interruption in their professional activity due to maternity leave (mandatory) and possibly parental leave (does not apply to the kindergarten). For this purpose, the authorized group of persons must demonstrate their activity in a scientific project.
The WINK committee examines the scientific activity and draws up a list of priorities for the nursery committee.
The WINK Committee is made up of
- the Equal Opportunities Officer,
- two representatives of the MHH teaching staff, appointed by the Dean of Research.
- one representative of the Staff Council
- and the daycare center management or their deputy.
Of these, the two representatives of the MHH teaching staff are entitled to vote on the determination of priority on the basis of scientific qualification.
Furthermore, it is essential that an application is submitted to the management of the Campuskinder daycare center at least six months before the desired admission date.
