The Transportation and Materials Management Department is responsible for all transportation and warehouse logistics processes. The range of services thus extends from the storage, picking and distribution of consumables (e.g. conventional supply or modular supply), food and beverages to the qualified transportation of patients or medical equipment. Mail distribution and waste disposal are also part of our Department's remit.
Our employees transport around 1000 patients every day. Goods are brought to and collected from users in 1000 trolleys every day. In addition, around 300 beds, 600 laboratory samples / blood products and 18,000 mail items are transported every day. In 22 areas (both operating theatres and wards), the goods are stored in the cupboards by modular suppliers. Textiles are also supplied to all functional areas and wards. In addition, around 13 tons of waste are disposed of every day.
