Reporting of information

MHH employees should live a culture of transparency, of looking and speaking up.

The European and national regulations on whistleblower protection serve as an early warning system against criminally relevant breaches of the rules and offer whistleblowers comprehensive protection against reprisals. We therefore encourage every person - whether from among employees, former colleagues, contractual partners, patients, suppliers or third parties - to report information on breaches of regulations.

The law guarantees that all whistleblowers will be treated confidentially, provided that it is not a case of deliberate or grossly negligent misreporting. In these cases, the statutory protection of confidence is waived. Employees should first contact their line manager. In cases where this does not seem appropriate, any person can also contact the Compliance department directly(compliance@mh-hannover.de) or use the following form or the form available on the intranet to make a report. You can also send information without stating your name.

We ask for your understanding that the whistleblower form should only be used to report violations of laws, guidelines or our own requirements. The whistleblower form is not to be used for general complaints, for reporting so-called CIRS cases or for ad hoc risk reports. In such cases, the Central Complaints Management or Patient Safety must be contacted or an ad hoc risk report submitted.

A breach of regulations can be reported in writing by completing the contact form below or verbally or by telephone. A personal exchange can also take place at the request of the respective whistleblower. Confidential processing is guaranteed.

Please report information relating to suspected scientific misconduct directly to the Ombuds Office in person, by telephone (tel. 6002) or by e-mail(ombudsstelle@mh-hannover.de). All reports will be treated in strict confidence. Anonymous reports (e.g. by post to "Geschäftsstelle Ombudswesen, OE 9100") will only be followed up if they are sufficiently substantiated.
