As a university maximum care provider, we are the last chance for some of our patients, especially in the field of intensive care medicine. Complex and state-of-the-art therapies are used in our 10 different intensive care units to save lives. Every day.
This is only possible with a top interdisciplinary team: in addition to over 470 nursing staff and medical colleagues, this includes respiratory therapists, wound experts, transplant officers, physiotherapists, crisis counselors, pain therapists and many more.
This diversity, the very high level of expertise and the professional cooperation make working in MHH intensive care something special.
We have understood that professional Nursing needs the right framework conditions:
- Nurse to patient ratio max 1:2 , e.g. also 1:1
- Individual onboarding and extensive training (3-6 months) in a tandem system
- Promotion of individual further and advanced training, e.g. for intensive and anaesthetic care or wound managers
- Crisis support from specially trained employees
- Planned rotations possible
- Intensive care support teamand intensive care team for children as an employment opportunity with individual working hours and binding duty roster without having to jump in
