Our Clinical Department offers a range of outpatient clinics. Our staff look forward to helping you and your child.
Our pediatric cardiology outpatient clinic cares for infants and children with congenital heart defects in close cooperation with pediatric cardiologists in private practice. Patients often present here immediately before or after a procedure for further planning. Further diagnostic and therapeutic measures are thus coordinated with the practicing colleagues.
Dr. Grosser is in charge of the outpatient clinic. You will need a referral from a pediatric cardiologist in private practice to attend the pediatric cardiac consultation.

The diagnosis and treatment of patients with pulmonary hypertension requires special expertise, which you can take advantage of at our center.
We plan the drug therapy with you, e.g. also the switch from inhaled medication to an implantable pump system, but also discuss all other therapy options with you (in an interdisciplinary team of pediatric cardiologists, pediatric pneumologists and cardiothoracic surgeons) - up to a possible lung transplant, which can also be performed at Hannover Medical School.

Outpatient care for older adolescents and young adults with congenital heart defects is provided in close coordination with the internal medicine/cardiology team. In principle, care is possible either directly in our outpatient clinic or alternatively in the cardiologists' outpatient clinic from the age of 18.
Our center is EMAH certified. We offer you advice on all aspects of "Growing up, adulthood - living with a heart defect" and coordinate any further medical measures required. Dr. Grosser will look after you during our consultation hours.

Thanks to increasingly better quality ultrasound examinations, malformations of the heart can be seen in the womb even before birth. Such findings are often initially unsettling for the parents concerned. A good and detailed consultation helps to understand the heart defect and to classify its relevance for the rest of the child's life. This involves not only the overall prognosis, but also questions about the maternity clinic and immediate postnatal care, for example.
We offer gynecologists in private practice the opportunity to be present during ultrasound examinations of the heart before the birth and to talk to the parents. This allows us to contribute our expertise to the consultation. Prof. Dr. Dr. Beerbaum and his team are in charge of this service.

Did you notice a heart defect in your child in the womb or would you as a gynecologist like a consultation? In these cases, please contact Prof. Beerbaum's office.
