Urological Tumor Center
The Urological Tumor Center of the CCC Hannover of the MHH has set itself the task of offering people with cancer of the urogenital tract holistic care in all phases of the disease and the recovery process.
Our interdisciplinary cooperation with both conservative and surgical specialists from other disciplines enables us to provide comprehensive cancer treatment. The Urological Tumor Center has initiated a weekly interdisciplinary tumor conference in which we are joined by urologists, internal oncologists, radiologists, radiotherapists, nuclear medicine specialists and pathologists as well as representatives of various other specialist disciplines as required. The decisions of this committee are based on national and international treatment guidelines for urological tumor diseases of all kinds. This interdisciplinary cooperation is complemented by a close network of outpatient aftercare and rehabilitation, so that the treatment outcome is stabilized and the quality of life of those affected is optimized.
Our Clinical Department focuses on prostate carcinoma, bladder carcinoma and renal cell carcinoma. We offer a wide range of therapies, include patients in clinical trials (in close cooperation with the internal oncologists) and serve as a supra-regional second opinion center. This holistic therapeutic approach is fully in line with the requirements of the German Cancer Society (DKG) and guarantees a high quality of care for patients.
