The practical training at the MHH consists of various practical assignments and thus offers trainees a wide range of learning and experience opportunities.
The opportunities on the MHH campus include
- the orientation placement (400 hours)
- a compulsory placement in inpatient acute care (400 hours) and
- Mandatory assignments in pediatric care (120 hours)
- Compulsory assignments in general or geriatric psychiatric Nursing (120 hours)
- In-depth assignments (500 hours) in inpatient acute care, pediatric care or in general or gerontopsychiatric Nursing
- Assignments in intensive care and other specialized learning opportunities (160 hours)
►►►►1700 hours at the institution - more than 2/3 of the practical training hours are completed at the MHH.
Compulsory assignments in the areas of inpatient long-term care and outpatient acute/long-term care take place with cooperation partners (800 hours)

Nursing trainees take over ward 35
In the project "We take over!" project, trainees and internship supervisors swap roles. The trainees take over the tasks on the ward. The practical instructors support them, but deliberately stay in the background. In this way, the trainees learn what their future professional life might look like.
