Advantages for employees and students
As an employee and student at the MHH, you benefit from a wide range of offers from your employer that will help you develop individually and in a family-friendly way in your job and studies, maintain your health or improve your fitness and support you with private or professional hurdles.
At the Benefit Days on March 11 and 12, 2025, you will have the opportunity to find out more about these benefits. Around 25 MHH departments will present their offers to you at this internal MHH fair. As an employee, trainee or student, you are cordially invited to come and chat at the information stands, attend interesting presentations and take part in hands-on activities where you can try out the benefits right away.

At an information stand, you can find out about the examination and consultation options offered by the Occupational Health Service. Get an idea of what good work could mean, how you can develop a good inner attitude to deal with the daily stresses of work and how you can work and live in a health-conscious way. You will learn how to stay motivated and not feel at the mercy of or dependent on your employer, but how to take responsibility for your professional and non-professional satisfaction. The Patient University series of events is not only aimed at patients and generally interested parties, but also offers various health education programs for employees. The Centre for University Sports organizes an extensive sports programme with over 100 different sports and exercise options. University Sports Hannover also runs a fitness studio, CAMPUSFit, and a climbing gym, KletterCAMPUS, all of which can be used by students and staff. The MHH's Campuskinder daycare center offers employees all-day, year-round care for their children aged eight weeks to 12 years. At an information stand at the Benefit Days, the daycare center team will introduce itself and explain the group offers and the pedagogical concept.
The team at Freie AG Mediation offers help with conflicts in your immediate working environment. At the Benefit Days, the colleagues will explain in a lecture how they can support the conflict parties in mediation.

The chaplains at the MHH see themselves as discussion partners for patients and their relatives as well as for those working at the hospital. At an information stand at the Benefit Days, you can find out more about their counseling services from the hospital chaplaincy staff. The services are not tied to any religious denomination.

The Islamic Community of the MHH (IG-MHH) is the Muslim university group of the MHH, consisting of students and staff from all professional groups. The Representative Body for Severely Disabled Persons (SVB) at MHH provides assistance with, among other things, equipping workplaces for the disabled, applying for medical aids and submitting applications, e.g. for severely disabled persons or spa treatment. The team of the Clinical Ethics Committee (KEK) advises and supports you as an employee of the MHH in cases of ethical conflict:
- ethical cases of conflict or conscience in patient care at the MHH. An ethics consultation only takes place at the request of those affected and supports those seeking advice in a conflict of judgment.
- The colleagues will also be happy to work with you to fill out an advance care plan for yourself (living will).

Profession, studies & career
The Human Resources (HR) team at MHH aims to place the right people in the right positions, develop their skills and thus ensure their employability and the long-term success of MHH.
At an information stand at the Benefit Days, you can find out how you can be supported by Human Resources Development in the areas of training, coaching and consulting as well as management development. There will also be small hands-on exercises on Communications, Coaching and Resilience.
The BAP's wide-ranging further education and training program is aimed at Nursing staff from all areas. They benefit from a shared and interactive learning setting and a lively exchange on their path to professionalization. Digital learning opportunities enable individual learning independent of time and place. Practical and interactive learning can improve the quality of teaching and offer learners more flexibility. But how do you design digital learning opportunities that are appropriate for the target group, conducive to learning and appealing in terms of media?
At the MHH, the eLearning team at the Peter L. Reichertz Institute of Medical Informatics (PLRI) provides support in the media-didactic, media and technical implementation of digital learning opportunities in university teaching and the training and further education of employees. The MHH Ombuds Office advises on issues relating to Good Scientific Practice and offers low-threshold advice in the event of scientific conflicts. The Ombudsperson's Office also accepts reports of suspected scientific misconduct and arranges contact with the Ombudspersons. The Student Office team is the point of contact for all organizational questions during your studies, e.g. regarding academic leave, de-registration, fees, the practical year and pregnancy or maternity leave. You can get to know the counseling services during a lecture.

The Staff Council stands up for you as an employee:at MHH on a daily basis. Among other things, the Staff Council supports you with issues relating to legal or collectively agreed regulations, such as salary classifications, contract extensions or notice periods. It helps you to assert your interests, e.g. structural regulations, personnel measures, restructuring in the company, duty rosters, round tables, etc. The Staff Council also shapes working conditions in a variety of ways, e.g. overload reporting procedures, service agreements and agreements with the Presidium.

Are you wondering what you should bear in mind during a TV or radio interview, how to act safely in front of the camera and microphone and how best to respond to journalists' questions? Or are you thinking about becoming active on social media and want to know how to do it professionally? Then the Communications Administrative Unit team can help you - with professionals from print, TV, audio and online.
At the Benefit Days, colleagues will be on hand at an information stand to give you some initial tips and an overview of the advice and support on offer.
The Quality Management team aims to strengthen cooperation between Clinical Departments, Institutes, Facilities or Institutions and Devisions at MHH, optimize processes, develop standards and ensure consistently high quality. At an information stand at the Benefit Days, you can find out how the quality management and quality assurance services can be used in your department.
In the MHH library you will not only find a wide range of scientific literature. Here you will also be effectively supported in your learning, publishing and research with various training courses and programs. The MHH offers bike leasing as part of a deferred compensation scheme. Employees can access the baron online portal at www.mein-dienstrad.de. There you will find a configurator and the option of a sample leasing calculation. You can use this to find out what the net financial impact of bike leasing would be for you.
